This is the first tutorial in my Faux Lampwork Series demonstrating how to create polymer clay beads that look similar to the glass lampwork beads.

Each tutorial in this series is separate and independent from each other.

This is one of my most popular tutorials for polymer clay and resin.

In this tutorial I explain how to make two sets of faux lampwork glass beads with abstract design and dimensional round dots using polymer clay and resin. The color schemes and designs I offer in this tutorial are created to closely resemble some of the typical patterns seen in the real lampwork beads. These designs are just an example of the possibilities of this technique.

The tutorial includes:
  • Detailed step-by-step explanations how to make two sets of beads with two different patterns;
  • Additional notes and tips to guide you though this project;
  • Thirty five big full-color pictures showing every step;
  • Detailed list of materials, including information about the brands and the best places where to buy these materials;
  • Complete list of tools needed to finish this project.

Pre-requisites: Some previous experience with polymer clay and/or resin is helpful, but not necessary.

The resin required for this project may be purchased on this site as well: polymertutorials.com/resin.html.
